How ATX Blinds & Draperies collects, uses, and protects your information. In short: we use it to serve you, we never sell it, and you're always in control.

Who we are
ATX Blinds & Draperies LLC ("we," "us") sells and installs custom window treatments in Austin and Central Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, customer accounts, and referral program, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us
- Consultation and contact requests: your name, phone number, email, city, address if you share it, the products you're interested in, your message, who referred you, and any photos of your windows you choose to upload.
- Quotes, invoices, and your project: the details of your order, measurements, installation date, and payment records.
- Online signatures: when you sign a quote online, we record your typed name, your drawn signature, the date and time, and the IP address and device used, so we have a reliable record of the agreement.
- Referral program: for partners, your name, email, phone, payout preference, and referrals you submit. If you refer someone, we record their name and contact details so we can reach out to them.
Information collected automatically
- Account sign-ins and activity: when you sign in to your account, we record the sign-in and when you open your quotes or invoices, so we can follow up at the right time. This is only visible to us.
- Essential cookies: we use a secure cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies on our website.
- Referral links: if you arrive through a partner's referral link, your browser remembers that partner's code for up to 60 days so the referral is credited correctly. It's stored only on your device.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider may log your IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and to keep the site running.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request, schedule your consultation, prepare quotes, order your products, and install them.
- To provide your online account: your quotes, invoices, signatures, payments, receipts, and project updates.
- To send emails you need, such as sign-in codes, quotes, receipts, installation reminders, and check-ins after your install.
- To call or text you about your request or project (see "Calls and text messages" below).
- To run our referral program: credit referrals, calculate and pay rewards, and meet tax reporting requirements.
- To protect our customers and our business, including preventing fraud and misuse of the site.
Calls and text messages
When you request a consultation or start a project, you agree that we may call or text you at the number you provide about your request, scheduling, and your project. We contact you from (512) 751-8408. We don't send marketing texts unless you've asked us to. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from us.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Square. We never see or store your full card number; Square handles it under its own security standards and privacy policy. For Zelle, check, and cash payments, we keep a record of the amount, date, and method so we can issue your receipts.
Referral partners and tax forms
If you're a referral partner, we may ask for IRS Form W-9 when your earnings approach the IRS reporting threshold. Please email the form to us. We never ask you to enter your Social Security number on our website, and we keep W-9s privately for tax reporting only. Partners see only their own commissions and the progress of people they referred, never our prices, costs, or other customers' details.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only with companies that help us run our business, and only as needed:
- Website hosting and data storage (Netlify), where our website, your account, and your photos are stored securely.
- Email (Zoho), which delivers our emails to you.
- Payments (Square), for card payments.
- Product manufacturers and suppliers, who receive the order details (measurements, products, colors) needed to make your window treatments.
- Professional advisors and authorities, such as our accountant, or when required by law.
If you were referred by a partner, they'll see your first name, last initial, and where your project stands, but never your prices or contact information.
How long we keep information
We keep project records, quotes, invoices, signatures, and payment records for as long as needed for warranties, taxes, and our business records. Referral earnings history is kept so partners can review past years. You can ask us to delete information we don't need to keep.
How we protect it
Your account uses one-time sign-in codes instead of passwords, all connections are encrypted, and our internal records (including our costs and other customers' details) are available only to the owner through a separately secured sign-in. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
- Ask us what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.
- Opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
- Stop texts by replying STOP.
- Texas residents may have additional rights under Texas privacy law. Email info@austintexasblinds.com with any request, and we'll respond within 45 days.
Children
Our website and services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
