Drapery Rods & Tracks in Austin, TX: Decorative & Traverse
Drapery hardware decides how your panels hang, how they move, and how the finished window looks. We supply and install both decorative rods, where the hardware is part of the design, and tracks, where the hardware disappears and the fabric takes the spotlight.
Every rod and track is sized to your window and your fabric, and mounted into solid backing so heavy panels hang straight for years.

How drapery rods & tracks work
Decorative rods are visible hardware: a rod in wood or metal, finials at the ends, and rings that hold the panels. They frame the window and add a finished, designed look.
Tracks are slim channels mounted to the wall or ceiling, with carriers that glide inside. They're nearly invisible, let panels run edge to edge, and are required for ripplefold draperies. Traverse rods and tracks let pleated panels open with a wand or cord, and motorized tracks do it for you.
Why we recommend them in Central Texas
The right hardware is what makes custom draperies look custom. A rod mounted too low or too narrow makes windows look small; a ceiling track running wall to wall makes a room feel taller and wider. We plan height, width, and stack-back for each window.
We also make sure hardware is anchored into solid backing, which matters with heavy lined panels and long spans in big Austin living rooms.

Best for
- Decorative rods: traditional and transitional rooms
- Tracks: modern rooms, ceiling mounts, and ripplefold
- Traverse rods: pleated panels that open with a wand or cord
- Motorized tracks: tall windows and smart homes
Options
- Decorative rods with rings and finials
- Ceiling or wall mounted tracks
- Traverse rods
- Motorized tracks
- Brackets, returns, and center supports sized to the span
- Smart hub for phone app and voice control, at home or away
Good to know
- Decorative rods with rings don't work with ripplefold; that style needs a track.
- Long spans need center supports. On rods, rings can't pass a center bracket, so very wide windows often work better on a track.

Professional install
We install, test, and clean up. Products are covered by manufacturer warranties.
Care & maintenance
A few minutes now and then keeps them looking new.
Vacuuming
Vacuum panels every month or two with a soft upholstery brush, working top to bottom. This keeps dust out of the folds.

Deep cleaning
Most custom draperies should be professionally dry cleaned rather than machine washed, especially lined panels. We'll tell you what your fabric needs.
Drapery rods & tracks: common questions
Have another question? Call (512) 751-8408.
Do you install drapery rods for curtains I already have?
Yes. We can supply and install rods or tracks for existing panels, as long as the header style works with the hardware.
Should I choose a rod or a track?
Choose a decorative rod if you want the hardware to be part of the look. Choose a track for a clean, modern look, ceiling mounting, or ripplefold.
How high should drapery hardware be mounted?
Usually close to the ceiling or crown molding, which makes ceilings look taller. We'll recommend exact heights for each window.
How far past the window should a rod extend?
Far enough that open panels stack beside the glass instead of over it. We calculate stack-back for your fabric and fullness.
Do you sell hardware without draperies?
Yes. We supply and install rods and tracks for panels you already own when the header style is compatible.
Can I control motorized shades from my phone?
Yes. Add a smart hub and you can raise, lower, group, and schedule everything from an app on your phone, at home or away, and connect to popular voice assistants.
